What do those measurements mean?
From the base of the neck to the bottom of the garment.
From the end of the shoulder to end of the shoulder.
From the base of the neck (i.e., where the neck joins the shoulder) to the knuckle of the index finger, arms hanging straight down.
From edge to edge around the bottom of the garment.

Are your garments new or reconditioned (pre-owned)?
The vast majority of our inventory is new. They have never been worn, they are direct from the manufacturer.
We do have a small selection of items with defects, which are available at a vastly discounted price.
Also, we do have a collection of preowned coats & jackets. Contact us with your measurements and what you're looking for, and we'll see what we can do.
Additionally, we have an escrow service. You can find great bargains on used garments, or list your own!
Can I visit your showroom?
Our business is mostly conducted over the Internet. We do, however, have a store front for you to visit, if you're local to the New York City area.

Do you have a web site or catalog?

Do you offer repairs, alterations, cleaning or storage?
Yes, we can accommodate on all counts.
Cold storage is available for the entire year for only $25.00. Each item is insured for $100.00. If you have home owner's insurance, you're probably already covered for the entire cost of the garment. If you do not, please contact us for rates.
(Additionally, you may want to have an appraisal done so that your garment can be insured.)
Cleaning is available for $25.00.
For alterations and repairs, please contact us directly for details.
Can you give me an appraisal for my garment?
Appraisals are available for your garments for a $50.00 fee.
"Appraisal" gives you a certified document detailing the exact retail value of your item. This can be used for insurance purposes or resale.

A: Generally, the more expensive boas are made from a higher quality skin. They are also usually a bit wider.

A: Boas are lined with grosgrain or velvet.

We're able to satisfy the vast majority of our customers in this regard. Send us e-mail with your measurements and a description of what you're looking for - - we have many types of fur available.
What sort of shipping do you use?
By default, we use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for shipping. All items are insured for the total purchase price of the garment - - for your protection, and ours.
Please Note: We cannot ship to Post Office Boxes!
How can I track my shipment?
Once payment has been received and your item has been shipped, you will be issued a tracking number via e-mail. You can track the status of your delivery by using the USPS online tracking page.

What are "guard hairs"?
"Guard hairs" are the longer hairs on top of the fur.
What is "underfur"?
"Underfur" is the thick lower layer of the fur.
For each visitor to our web site, our server automatically recognizes and collects only the visitor's domain name, not their e-mail address.
We do collect information about, and review, what pages visitors access or visit. We keep this information strictly confidential, and it is only used to improve the web site

How does on-line ordering work?
At present, we handle on-line ordering through a "shopping cart" system. You can pay on-line using your major credit card. (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
When you view the items in the catalog, you can click the "Add to Cart" link to add the item to your shopping cart.
To review the contents of your shopping cart, click on the "Cart Contents " link in the top center of your screen. You can then remove items you don't want, or adjust the quantity you'd like to purchase.
When you're done shopping, click on the "Check Out" link on the top right of your screen. You'll be able to review the contents of your shopping cart, and proceed to the payment form. If you'd like to make any changes, click on "Cart Contents" at the top of your screen to remove an item or change the quantity.
By default, every transaction is encrypted to protect your credit card information, using SSL encryption. When you're viewing an encrypted page, there will be a small "lock" icon at the bottom of the page to let you know that the connection is secure. To take advantage of encryption, you must be using a browser that supports this feature - - you can test your browser's compatibility here.
If your browser doesn't support SSL, we recommend Microsoft's Internet Explorer, available for free!
If you don't want to submit your credit card information over the Internet, you may mail us the information via regular postal mail. Click here for the consent form.
At present, all on-line ordering is done via major credit card. Instant check verification is on the horizon, but it isn't here yet - - if you'd like to pay by check or money order, please contact us directly about the items you're interested in. Please note that a money order is the fastest way to complete your order if you'd like to go this route - we have to wait for checks to clear the bank, and that incurs an additional 14 day waiting period (plus the shipping time, plus the time to mail the check to us).
Please note that New Jersey residents must add sales tax to the total purchase price. When using the on-line form, this is done automatically.
Shipping rates for on-line ordering are predetermined for the United States via USPS. If you would like your item to be shipped internationally, or to Hawaii or Alaska, you can contact us directly about the item you're interested in, or fill out the on-line ordering form as it is - - we will contact you via e-mail to confirm the total price before your credit card is charged.
